When it comes down to it, Bright Signals is a talent agency. Nothing more, nothing less. A place where people can be themselves, express themselves and excel themselves. Where we want you to experience the proudest moments of your career.

We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Production Assistant to join the team on a full time basis.

Production Assistants play a vital role in the Creative Production department. You’ll join a team of in-house videographers, editors, animators and more to help bring to life creative ideas.

You’ll provide important technical and operational support to our Senior Producer and Creative Operations Director to ensure the smooth running of projects. This role requires an understanding of social and commercial film and photography productions. It will require strong creative problem-solving skills as you’ll be involved across the entire production process from idea to execution. You must have a strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.

You’ll be confident and able to communicate with people across multiple job roles – be that internal colleagues, external freelance crew or directly with the client.

You’ll be aware of emerging talent and look to build relationships with a range of crew members for bigger productions. You’ll have a strong understanding of social media formats and what works to grab consumers attention.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Support the creative team and their ideas. Working closely with the Senior Producer you will represent, own, champion and find creative solutions to bring their ideas to life. Keep up to date with industry trends and bring your own ideas to the table to help inform creative development.

  • Work with our Art Director to source props and style set ups.

  • Help the creative team with research for idea generation.

  • Scout shoot locations.

  • Be responsible for managing Bright Signals social channels, gathering behind the scenes content on shoot and creating shortform video content that showcases work from our agency.

  • Have an understanding of production equipment and assist in the hiring of kit.

  • Be knowledgeable in code of conducts surrounding all aspects of production.

  • Assist in daily production planning to manage competing deadlines.

  • Create and maintain production records, ensuring files are up to date and stored correctly according to internal processes.

  • Assist in booking cast and crew.

  • Support our Senior Producer & crew where needed on shoot days.

  • Book catering, travel & accommodation for shoots.

  • Build a database of freelance talent, uncovering emerging artists and ensuring all details including day rates are up to date.

You might not have held a Production Assistant role before, but you’ll be able to demonstrate experience working as part of a production team – even if that is only a production team of two! We’re looking for proactive people that can help get things done.

A driving licence is essential for this role.
