Creating record breaking content for one of the UK's biggest brands

After success with Magners’ Celtic sponsorship content, Bright Signals assumed responsibility for Magners social media content and channels for the whole of the UK in December 2016.

We began by undertaking extensive research into the cultural interests of the target consumer. Our content then blended brand-led activation with fast-turnaround reactive and topical posts in-line with target drinkers’ interests and talking points, spanning everything from internet memes and pop culture to sport and music.

Our approach delivered ground-breaking results. In the first 12 weeks managing Magners social media our content generated more social media engagements than had been achieved across the whole of the previous 12 months.

We have gone on to produce all 15 of the brand’s most engaging social media posts of all time. Our Send Nudes/Rick Lax parody of January 2017 is the most successful piece of social content the brand has ever published, reaching over 3.7m unique users, gaining 1.4m video views, and earning over 88,000 likes, comments, and shares. It also made our designer Tom internet famous.
