SWG3 Website

In a city that has art and music pumping through its veins, SWG3 is one of Scotland’s leading independent venues – a place where creativity, community, and commerce collide. They had outgrown their website and were looking to attract a broad demographic, from corporate clients seeking event spaces to ravers buying tickets for the next big event.

Creating a site that speaks to such a diverse range of users is no easy task and our first step was to look at their current vision statement:

  • Where inspiration is infectious
  • Where experimentation thrives
  • Where memories are made

SWG3 needed an overall visual aesthetic that was worthy of their iconic cultural stature without compromising revenue. Using their vision statement as a basis for our solution, we included bold video headers that brought the space to life and showcased the multi-disciplinary nature of the venue. We used their arrow logo to provide a simple navigation tactic, guiding users throughout the site.

The key to the "What’s On" section, inspired by print-programme layouts and typography, was to ensure it was easy to navigate across devices while managing large traffic spikes.
